Everyone probably remembers their first Michael Jackson moment, when his “greatness” just wowed you. It has week’s since his death and the world is still mourning. Michael Jackson meant so much for so many. He touched the lives of many, not only through his music, but his love for the world.

Is there anyone within the past 50 years who did not grow up loving Michael Jackson? Michael Jackson broke down every barrier you can think of, race, age, you name it. Grandparents, parents, and children love MJ with the same intensity. He is the one music artist that they can all listen to together. Who else can bring different generations together like that?

For the past few week’s everyone has been paying tribute to Michael Jackson. Many of the music artists whose careers he influenced and inspired them to be who they are have added tributes to their shows honoring him. The BET Awards even changed their whole theme to honor his memory. It was great seeing everyone honor him with his songs and through his fashion. After all, who didn’t have or want a red “Thriller” jacket or walk around with one glove back in the 80s?

Despite any surgeries, legal allegations, etc. his true fans never stopped loving him. It is too sad that the world could not let him know how much he meant while he was still here. Hopefully he is smiling down from heaven knowing his legacy will live on forever. You will be missed MJ and no one will ever be as “bad” as you. RIP.
