MusicMatrix.com Fuses Video Creation and Social Networking

  • Once upon a time, MySpace was the place for an upcoming artist to get his or her shine on. Today, we find the Rupert Murdoch-owned social networking site struggling to find a fraction of the relevance it once had, and musicians once again looking for a place to showcase their talent. Aspiring artists need look no further thanks to MusicMatrix.com.

MusicMatrix.com is a new website created by parent company Encounter Technologies, Inc. that allows artists to get their music out to the world via music videos. Utilizing an innovative new platform users can create and edit music video effortlessly thanks to the intuitive user-friendly, professional-grade tools which should also appeal to video-editors. One such tool allows users to layer multiple audio and video tracks to make a custom creation. In addition to content creation MusicMatrix users can also purchase music from the site’s 7 million song catalog that spans a range of genres including R&B, Gospel, Country and Hip-Hop.

So what makes MusicMatrix different than the other video sites out there? According to Encounter Technologies CEO Anthony DiBiase, it’s all about filling a void and allowing users to send a message.

“While there are other existing sites that capitalize on the utilization of music videos, what makes MusicMatrix unique is its fully integrated social community, which is engaged by the ability to promote. Our revolutionary business model was created to fill a void, providing users and artists alike with an expressive platform for their creative visions. Aspiring artists are presented with the opportunity to promote their work at no cost and engage potential fans, while subscribers are given the incentive to earn revenue and use the platform of MusicMatrix as a message vehicle through which they may illustrate and perfect their own unique skills for editing.”
Users can share their video creations through the usual social networking platforms. They can also participate in one MusicMatrix’s video editing contests, the first of which kicked off on December 15. Participants have the chance to get their hands on Jae Millz new single featuring Chris Brown, “Green Gobblin”, and create original videos to accompany the song. The work will be judged by a celebrity panel with the winners receiving prizes including a Samsung TV and a laptop from HP.
Membership to MusicMatrix is free, but to unlock all of the premium tools and services, members will have to sign up for either the Advanced or Master membership.
