Falcons vs. Panthers preview
-
It’s Thursday ATL, so let’s take the anticipation up a notch. Not only are we less than @another48hours until a new year but in about 72 hours the Falcons should have home-field advantage in a choke hold throughout the playoffs! Also, the Falcons have 7 players from the roster that will be making vacation plans for Hawaii during the Pro Bowl. Damn right, that is more than any other team in the N.F.L. The list of players include: Matt Ryan, @roddywhiteTV, @johnabraham55, Eric Weems, Tony Gonzalez, Michael Turner, & last but not least Ovie Mughelli. We came up 1 player short if you ask me considering, @BGrimes20 is having a “lights out” career year. He won’t miss the cut next season. With a win this Sunday the Falcons will host all of their games here in the ATL. And, we must protect this house like we’ve been doing the last 2 seasons! We have to be careful though. The Carolina Panthers have nothing to lose but another game. They will bring the fight to the Falcons. It seems like such a short time ago when Mike Vick and the rest of his teammates would slug it out with Julius Peppers, Michael Jenkins etc. That’s when the Panthers team & especially the defense was feared league wide. Now, most teams breathe a sigh of relief seeing the Panthers on their schedule. The panthers have a 2-14 record and are a week removed from a loss against the Steelers where they failed to score a touchdown. With that being said, I love the Falcons chances this week.
Of course our Falcons are 12-3. Hopefully, the loss this past Monday will motivate the team even more going into this week’s game and even more importantly the playoffs. Everybody, go to our poll here on volumestat.com and vote for your favorite ATL athlete! ~ Sheldon
